The name 'Gammat Jammat' has been derived from a similar Radio Programme on All India Radio (AKASHVANI).
This programme was started, conducted and made popular by a Kudaldeshkar
named Shri Narayan Dattatreya alias Nanuji Desai. Shri Desai was M A
with Marathi and sanskrit. He was extremely loving, soft spoken, witty
and got along with almost everybody. He was very popular amongst kids
due to the programme Gammat Jammat. He also made one more programme
very popular. That was GIRVANBHARATI,in Sanskrit. Shri Desai who was
born in 1919, passed away in 1995. People and children then, still remember
him. Hence the name GAMMAT JAMMAT. Once again we sincerely request your
